Stained Glass: Amalthea

"You can find the others if you are brave. They passed down all the roads long ago, and the Red Bull ran close behind them and covered their footprints..."

This line in the movie was my inspiration for this one. I absolutely love the movie and really wanted to do it justice in this piece. There is so much detail and heart in every character and creature. It's absolutely beautiful.

I actually had a hard time deciding which characters to put in here for exactly that reason. All of them were so full of life and quirkiness, and therefore all seemed equally important. But I am satisfied with what I have completed, and I hope you are too.
I wanted to have this done by my birthday, the 8th, but I underestimated just how much detail was in all these characters. I can't imagine animating them cell by cell!!

Inspired by 'the Last Unicorn', an animated film by Rankin/Bass, based on the novel of the same name by Peter S. Beagle. Also inspired by Kingdom Hearts, copyright Square Enix and Disney.
