Apologies for this morning's journal entry. I was super stressed and sleep-deprived.

Ok guys, please stop sending me comments and emails and notes about the coins. I am doing my best, but this project seems like it grows in difficulty as time goes on. Your constant reminders that I'm failing or breaking promises or what have you is really wearing on me. Please understand that I am one person, living in a cramped apartment, trying to make ends meet while also trying to give a little something special to the world. I am trying so hard to keep things organized and punctual, and the mass amounts of emails telling me things I already know aren't helping. I'm sorry I'm not a perfect businesswoman. But to be fair, I never planned on becoming one and I never took any classes or anything. Please, respectfully, back off. I am probably one of the most honest people you will ever meet. If I owe you something, you will receive it. Period. It just might take me a while because I'm so gawdammed honest. And a little more than slightly ADD. I'm just really sorry I've been disappointing you all. I am trying my best. I just want you all to know that.

A lot of you have been sending me messages asking for updates on the Friendship is Magic/Fausticorn coins. Apologies for the wait. My partner said he was going to send another mass email with a list of those we received addresses from. I've been reminding him for weeks, but he still hasn't done it. I'm going to strangle him.

I'm so sorry guys. You deserve an update. All I can say is that I have received 431 emails with addresses so far. I'm working on the prints, but there's this giant streak on one side of the printer that won't work. I'm looking to get it replaced. The coins are here in my apartment, waiting to be shipped. My goal is to send them all out before June.

Honestly, I can send some out faster if you ordered just the coin(s) and don't care to have the Fausticorn print. If you would like that option, please shoot me an email with the following:
-Title the email "Print-less Coins" so that if it accidentally ends up in my junk folder, I don't delete it thinking it's a virus.
-Your kickstarter user name
-Your address the way it would be written on an envelope
This only helps me get your coins out faster if you did not order an FiM print or more as well. It would be far too complicated to send out your coins and prints separately.

I'm back from a weekend trip to NYC!

I went with ~ladytrez and our respective mothers. I have a blister the size and shape of an almond on the ball of one foot, and a very sore throat. I'm thinking the throat was from a combination of my allergies acting up, the dry hotel air, and more second-hand smoke inhalation than in the past 3 or so years combined. (But that really doesn't mean too much because I live practically in the middle of the woods and no one really smokes where I live.)

It was great!

We took a boat ride out to the Statue of Liberty (But didn't go to the actual island), learned that the One World Trade Center is supposed to be an abstract representation of Lady Liberty (yeah, right), we went to the top of the Empire State building (not really as fun as I was hoping), saw the Phantom of the Opera (And a HUGE crowd of people trying to see Tom Hanks down the street), biked around Central Park (where my allergies acted up, not helped by all the tree seed and leaf bits flying into my eyes), found this great quirky restaurant and bar called the Jekyll & Hyde Club, went to the Central Park Zoo (and was disappointed there weren't any lions or giraffes or anything bigger than a snow leopard, really) and we went to the top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center, at night, which was awesome! So much more fun than the Empire State Building!). Over all, I  loved the trip!

Did you watch the Today Show yesterday (Monday) til the end?

If so, you might have seen me in the crowd! We got there when they were cleaning up the mats from what I assume was a cheerleader routine(?) but the show was still airing and they were doing pan shots of the crowd.  I was wearing my signature fedora, but had my hair tied back because it was very windy. Did any of you tape it by chance?

In other news,

Since I've been in NYC, I obviously haven't had a chance to mail anything out yet. If you haven't yet received something I've promised, don't worry, I plan on starting on that tomorrow. I need to buy some packages when the post office is open.

As most of you may already know, Akili has been going through a tough time for a while now with her laptop. Recently it has almost completely kicked the bucket. I've done what I can for it, but it's at the end of its run.

I've been trying to think of how to help her get a new computer for a while and recently it hit me. Crowd funding. With all of your help we can both get her a new computer and fill out her schedule with commissions. And don't worry about overwhelming her with commissions either. The reason she has been so off and on about open commissions is because even when her laptop wasn't dead, it would take her forever to do a single one. With a new device however, she could get them done with record speed and little to no frustration.
