It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Ok so it turns out I didn't need as much time off as I thought I did. Hey, at least I prepared by over-estimating time rather than underestimating! I tend to do that.

Would anyone be interested in buying a COLLECTABLE COIN with my Celestia design on one side and my Luna design on the other? I was thinking of maybe starting a kickstarter donation pool, since the smallest custom coin order is 100 coins.

It looks like the FAQ's have been about size and price and such. I'm not sure about the METAL it will be made of. I'm waiting for the company's reply. The SIZE will be 2 inches in diameter. And the COST will be $15 USD at MAXIMUM. It might be less depending on a few details I will be working out.

PLEASE COMMENT!

ALSO Please stop choosing which design you would buy! There isn't really a choice yet; I don't know which one I'll be able to order, if any at all!

Hope you don't mind me asking here, I didn't find any info anywhere.

You know if it would be possible (on my end) to solder a small metal ring to the coin? I was interested in taking the coin somewhere that worked with metals and possibly convert it into a neck piece.

I do believe it's possible. The coin will be solid brass with 14kt gold plating on one side and nickel plating on the other. It will be 2 inches in diameter, and approximately 3.5mm thick. I think that's all the info you would need to tell whoever will solder it for you.
